The PEN Català organizes three international residencies from June 17 to July 9, in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council and with the support of the Culture Moves Europe program, at the MUHBA Vil·la Joana.

This year, the main objective of the residencies is to promote the mobility of Ukrainian writers and/or refugees in Europe.

A total of nine applications were received, from which three were selected. The beneficiaries of this edition are:

●       Maksym Bespalov: Ukrainian writer and journalist. He has worked as a journalist in Ukraine and for various international media outlets. He has several published books of novels and short prose, and has collaborated and worked in some literary magazines.

●       Mark Livin (pen name): Ukrainian writer and journalist. He writes fiction and non-fiction books on psychology. He is an expert in communication and a lecturer.

●       Kateryna Yehorushkina: Ukrainian writer, philologist, screenwriter, and psychologist. She is the author of 15 books (14 of them children’s books) and co-author of various collective publications.
